Lead Teacher/Assistant Director
The person selected for this position will be responsible for the general supervision and management of a classroom.
The person selected for this position must be professionally prepared as a teacher of young children with a bachelor's degree and certification in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or Child Development. This individual must also meet the requirements of the state licensing agencies.

Youthland Academy offers many Scholarship programs for Teachers and Lead Teachers to pursue education certifications and degrees in Early Childhood Education.

Planning, supervising, and implementing the program for the class in accordance with daily lesson plans and policies and philosophy of the school.

Completing administrative duties for the class including keeping attendance, completing accident reports, maintaining classroom supply inventories, etc.

Gearing the program to the needs of the individual child with concerns for his interests, handicaps, special talents, and individual style and pace of learning.

Helping each child to become aware of his role as an integral member of a group.

Responsibilities Include:

To prepare, cook, and serve nutritious snacks and meals in accordance with State and Child/Adult Care Food Program nutritional guidelines.

Practicing all guidelines of the Health Department and maintaining accurate records concerning daily menus, breakfast, lunch, and snack counts.

Cleaning of the kitchen and serving areas, overseeing food and paper product inventory, and working with the director in the ordering of food supplies.
Food Prep Cooks should be available to supervise children during naptime or to substitute for a teacher in the case of an illness. It is mandatory to follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the Youthland Academy Staff Handbook.
This person should be flexible in scheduling, patient, organized, and enjoy working with children. This person must meet the requirements of the State-licensing agency.
This is a part-time position, generally driving 1-2 hours in the morning and 1-2 hours in the afternoon.
Job Description: Driver
This individual is responsible for safe, reliable transportation of children to and from elementary schools and planned field trips. This person will insure that all children are properly restrained in a seat belt and that the vehicle is in good repair and well maintained.
Responsibilities Include:

Supervising children, safety and maintenance check of vehicle, and informing director of any potential problems with the vehicle.

To be available to supervise children during naptime or in the event of another teacher's illness.
It is mandatory for all YLA employees to follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the Youthland Academy Handbook. All employees must also meet the requirements of the state-licensing agency. This person must be at least 21 years of age, have a perfect driving record, and have a current and valid driver's license.
This position also requires attendance at Youthland Academy 's in-house training.
Directors are full time, salaried employees. The person selected for this position will be responsible for the overall direction and supervision of the School.
The director shall have completed a bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university with a concentration or degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or Child Development. Youthland Academy requires a minimum of two years experience working with children in either a daycare setting or a school environment. All directors must meet the requirements of the state licensing agencies.
Primary Responsibilities of the Center Administrator:

Responsibilities also include hiring and training administrators, continuing education through seminars/in-service training. Available to the administrators, Academy staff, and parents for resources and/or problem solving. Responsible for overseeing all day to day activities including but not limited to; accounts receivable, accounts payable, budgeting, marketing, promotions, enforcing state licensing regulations and Youthland policies. Performing mock inspections for the purpose of meeting our goal of excellence and enhancing the Academy and its curriculum.
Youthland Academy employs counselors for Camp J B Mac, a summer camp program for children ages 6-12 years.
Camp JB Mac is located in Mason, OH and operates during the summer months. Located on over 8 acres, many activities are provided for the children including swimming, team sports, arts & crafts, drama, off site field trips and more.
Requirements Include:
Counselors must be at least 16 years of age and able to complete Camp's yearly training in First Aid, CPR, and Recognition of Communicable Disease.
Counselors must produce a current physical, background check, references, and a copy of driver's license and social security cards.
A red uniformed shirt is given to each counselor and each additional shirt is available for $10.00. Uniforms consist of khaki shorts, red uniform shirt, socks, tennis shoes, and sunscreen!

All van drivers based at centers must be 21 years of age, possess a
current, valid drivers license, and maintain a perfect driving record. All van drivers must attend a mandatory safety/training in-service covering the use of Youthland vehicles.
Camp Responsibilities Include:

Counselors are responsible for the overall supervision and safety of the children who attend and following the Camp J B Mac schedule and
curriculum set forth by the Camp Director.

Counselors must participate with the children in activities such as team sports, swimming, arts & crafts, and flagpole ceremonies.

The Camp JB Mac Lifeguard must have a current lifeguard certification from either the American Red Cross or the YMCA and current certifications in CPR and First Aid.
The lifeguard is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the pool and charting chemical levels daily. Along with the supervising counselor, the lifeguard will remain stationed at the pool throughout the day supervising the safety of the patrons in and around the pool.
It is the responsibility of the lifeguard to evaluate all campers during the first week and assess each child's swimming ability. Throughout the summer, the lifeguard must work to teach the non-swimmers basic lifesaving aquatic skills and closely monitor the children's progress.

The Marketing Director of Youthland Academy is responsible for promotions, open houses, mail outs, flyers, and publicity. A District Director or Regional Coordinator usually assumes this position.
The Human Resource Coordinator is stationed at the corporate offices in Montgomery, Ohio. This job requires basic office knowledge and marketing experience.

The Office Manager is stationed in the corporate office in Montgomery, Ohio. This position requires experience in office management and exceptional organizational skills. The office manager works closely with the regional coordinators, district directors, directors, receptionist, president, and vice presidents. The office manager oversees account receivable and has general and specific knowledge of the entire company.
Youthland Academy is involved in a number of programs concerning early childhood education. In an effort to enrich our programs and supplies, we sometimes turn to organizations for funding. Grant writers generally have experience and knowledge of grant preparations. They must be willing to attend seminars and classes to further learn and understand the world of grants.
Maintenance personnel must have transportation and the ability to travel within the network of Academies.

Maintenance crew must have general "handy man" knowledge and maintain upkeep of Youthland Child care Centers.

Maintenance personal follows lead from Property Manager and work to ensure the building's structural safety, cleanliness, and overall maintenance of floors, walls, doors, and playground equipment.

Maintenance personnel maintain campgrounds in season and maintain landscaping at all Academies.
The person selected for this position will be responsible for maintaining the building and grounds in a hygienic, safe, and presentable condition.
Qualifications:
The person selected should be experienced in the care and maintenance of buildings and grounds; must have a basic knowledge of household repairs; must be aware of hygienic cleaning practices; must be willing to participate in some in-service training; and should relate well to children and adults.
Responsibilities:
